Boarding up windows at CLT

Anyone know why they have boarded up the windows at the entrance to E wing at CLT? I am guessing it's construction related but why not let us look out at the construction? What are they doing there anyway?

It is construction related. There is steel framing on both sides at this point; smaller area on the east side, and more exensive work on the west (central term) side. Given that part of the work is now at the passenger level; more chance that windows removed/covered for safety reasons (arc welding glare, posibility of flying debris, etc).

IIRC, they are working on expanding the check-in lobby area down to where E Conn connects to D. Supposed to provide more counter space and the space for another checkpoint.
