So most foreign carriers are better.

I guess we could always bring back MATS (Military Air Transport Service) and sell seats to the public!
Seriously, what's wrong with foreign ownership of some of our legacy carriers? I think quality might indeed improve. Then again, would you want to have to fly Air China to Vegas?
I think competition should rule 100% - no government bailouts in the future.
