Delta/hotwire

I purchased a Delta ticket through Hotwire, due to a last minute family emergency. Normally these discount tickets cannot be changed. Does anyone know how to make a same day change without being charged any feees ?

It depends on what you bought. You cant change Hotwire or Priceline tickets opaque tickets. But did you buy a regular ticket on Hotwire where you knew the airline or did you buy the opaque Hotwire ticket where you know the airline after buying? If it is a regualr ticket, then you can change it.. If it's an opaque ticket, then you cant.

Former meaning - I am assuming it was opaque and you got to know the airline and timings after your purchase. In this case - you cant do anything to change it. I dont think you can even standby on it. Best option - call the airline, give them the conf # and ask about the standby policy for your specific ticket. that should help you out.

You may be able to do it if you are a member of Hotwire Express. Generally though, they have good cust service and you can convince them to allow changes despite what their policy says.
