Which friend to upgrade?

sorry for the delay, went sans internet for the long weekend.
In any case, CO did make it easy for me as the FC cabin was full so it wasn't an issue.
I think it really depends on your relationship with the friends. In my case, it didn't really matter to me who got upped as I wasn't planning on chatting with them the whole flight anyway. It was more just using the elite benefits for others.
For those who say rejecting the upgrade, to each his own. I didn't and wouldn't in the future either. I have traded in the past with my family so they could have it; but to extend it beyond that, probably not.
Thanks all for the input though, in the end - a simple 50/50 flip will probably work out best.
