Surgical sedation isn't the same thing as sleep. And it's much more dangerous.

Since my mother died of Deep Vein Thrombosis, after a long flight, I'm not inclined to take more than cat naps on flights.

I always rely on the two Bs when flying overnight in Y, or really any other size of seat: Bourbon and Benadryl
