FT Theme music?

I was being a FT evangelist last night when having dinner with a friend. He stated that we all sound like a bunch of looneys, he wasn't refering to Canadian money either.

He went on to say that we probably have our own "theme music" when we get on our flights, etc.

I had to think about that for a moment. If, in fact, I did have theme music it would probably be Bill Murray's rendition of the "Ballad of the Green Berets" as I board on each plane.

Anybody else have any ideas as to some FT theme music?

For United people it has to be Rhapsody in Blue, it's been drilled into us for what, 25 or 30 years now?

"The Passenger" by Iggy Pop

The song happens to be about riding through a city in a car, but most of the lyrics work very well for plane passengers too.

My personal "Rhapsody in Blue" is "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin.

My first thought was something that coming from the movie Airplane but then I remembered it was the music from Jaws at the start...

Seriously though I like "Love's Theme" which reminds me of the old CX commercials

Or how about The Flight by Perri?

Yeah, I figured the UA folks would say that.

Actually we do have our own theme music. One of the top international techno DJs is actually a member of FlyerTalk and some years ago actually created a song on one of his albums titled "FlyerTalk" which he plays at raves, dance venues and clubs he is spinning at. It's sort of in the trance genre but nonetheless, it's cool we have own very own:

I considered recommending Jet, but other than the fact that it has the name of an engine technology in the title, there is (almost) nothing else about that song that has anything to do with air travel.
