Purser

I have a general question. I often come across the term "Purser" in these forums. Who is a purser and how do I identify him/her? What are their responsibilities?

Purser generaly means the lead flight attendent. They are usually identified by a special pin or different uniform on most airlines.

A ship's purser (also purser or pusser) is the person on a ship responsible for the handling of money on board. On modern merchant ships the purser is the officer responsible for all administration and supply; frequently the cooks and stewards answer to him/her as well.

On airlines like CX, there is a "Senior Purser" in addition to a "Purser".
