Baggage Information

Hi

I have booked my flight through edreams.de/

I am traveling with my wife and six month old my son

edreams have booked my flight

We are 2 Adult + 1 Infant traveling together.

from Hamburg to London it is British airways
and from London to Delhi it is Kingfisher airline.

If i check on both airlines website both have different baggage allowance for checked baggage and handbaggage.

British airways has checked baggage 23 kg for each passenger including 1pc _ + infant stroller for an infant.
and hand baggage for each passenger including 1pc infant. + 1 laptop

where as Kingfisher has 23 X 2 pc for each kg and 10 kg for adults + 1 infant stroller for infant.
and hand baggage only 7 kg per adult.

1st Question: Which baggage allowance is applicable for me? Kingfisher's or British airways it? " I can not pack according to two different airlines (neither can I pack unpack at London airport)

2nd question: I am Indian Citizen and living in Germany on resident permit. have around seven hours stay at London airport terminal including change I from Terminal 5 to Terminal 4
Do I need transit visa for London, UK airport?

1. It is the airline you check into.
2. I doubt it.

Agree: it is with the carrier you checkin with and you do not need a transit visa.

Does IT have interline agreement in place with BA?
If so, then it will be BA's baggage allowance that applies.

Welcome to FlyerTalk, mandeepverma!

Information about the need for a transit visa for the UK can be found here, towards the bottom of the page.

These flights will be on separate tickets so you'll have different allowances on each flight - so to avoid excess baggage charges you'll have to keep to the lower limit.

I believe that BA however does allow you to purchase additional baggage allowance
