Avoiding Bowel Movements on extra long flights
With some of the 15 hour plus non stops flights these days the lavatories in Y seem to get very dirty. It is even more noticeable if you are seated near the lavatory and see the traffic in and out.
I try to avoid having to sit on the seat if I can but it usually does not happen. Has anyone tried taking Anti-Diarrhea medicine on flights to avoid using the lavatory?

Maybe its just me but, in my last 12 8+ hour flights, I've gone to the lavatory a total of 3 times.

You don't want to do that - it's not worth it... It gums up your insides, and will make your jet lag and the way you feel worse....

You really need to get up every once in awhile anyway to get your blood circulating and avoid DVT (deep vein thrombosis). Bathroom visits are a good thing in moderation. Take antibacterial wipes with you and clean your hands thoroughly after you're done if you're concerned about germs.
