Casino evaluations
Does anyone know of a website where players rate or evaluate various casinos? I am particularly interested in the ones around Lake Tahoe and Reno.

Also, FlyerTalk has a Gaming Loyalty Programs forum which discusses the various casino frequent guest programs:

The trouble with reviews of casinos, and of casino-hotels, is that the reviews are often colored by the reviewer's experience at the casino (i.e. losing money), so the reviews can be of questionable validity.

What games do you like to play? If you are a 21 player, the rules in Northern Nevada vary quite a bit. If you are just looking for a decent casino with at least some smoke control, halfway decent rules, and reasonable size, I would recommend the Silver Legacy, Peppermill, Atlantis, Grand Sierra, and John Ascuaga's Nugget, all in the Reno area. The choices are very limited in Tahoe - in Stateline, there are only a handful left, and only Harvey's and Harrah's are worth mentioning.
But if you like dives, amputees, drunks, silver dollar ploppees, and people without any decorum, Reno is the place to be.

A lot of times when I need reviews of places, I ue www.yelp.com. I've never done it for casinos so not sure what types of reviews you'll get on there though. You may get honest reviews or you may get the reviews like somebody else mentioned where they review badly because they lost money or give a good review because they won money.

Humorous and helpful reviews
It's not an aggregator of public reviews but I've found the reviews on the Cheapo Reno site (an offshoot of Cheapo Vegas) to be both funny and valuable.
