Booking Return flight and only using first leg?
I am looking at flying a smaller airline - buying a return ticket from CDG to LAX, but only using the first leg. Have airlines started to come down on people doing this yet?
I really want a direct flight, but the cost of one ways are KILLING me. (we are doing a repo cruise)
Or (not sure if I can ask this) does anyone have a good travel agent with nets from Paris to So Cal.
Thanks.

If you are only using the outbound part of the flight there should be no problem. When you don't check in for the return it will simply be canceled. If you are worried about it, don't put in a frequent flyer number. I doubt that they will come after you for a single occurrence. If you did it every month they may start to get mad and come looking for you.
You could also see how far out you could book the return and see about doing another repositioning cruise in the oposite direction. Two birds/one stone......lol

have you looked at the cruise air package?....it might not get you a non stop, but often is reasonable in price....
no sweat dropping the return portion.....needs change often in the middle of a trip...good luck...
