ORD - BKK
We were spoiled last year with JAL's $825. fare ORD to BKK, but despite the same trip currently going for $1,800 on AA, we'd still like to go.
ITA is showing the same price, $1,800
JAL has it at $2,400.
DEP July 27 ORD - NRT - BKK
RET Aug 26 BKK - NRT - DFW - ORD (nrt/ord non-stop unavailable)
We've never paid this high a price for BKK. When the prices are like this, we just would not go. But, its "only" $600. more than we paid last year if you include the extra fees for a stopover in Tokyo and the two two itinerary changes we made and now that we are leaving out the Tokyo stop, that will reduce the overall trip cost.
AA Frequent Flyer miles. Last year at $825.++ we were only awarded 1/2 of the air miles because we traveled on a JAL ticket.
Also, I can do a PLT Challange with this trip as a kick off.
Yes, sloppy travel, but this is what we've come up with. We sure like to talk about this, any comments?
Thanks, Jon
