Which FF Program to Swap to?

Short question--

Which program of these would you recommend: Delta, Continental, American, or AirTran? I don't have set places that I go, but I'd say I probably head to the Southeast most often.

The long version--

I've been a US Air Gold flyer for a while and have mostly enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, with them aligning themselves more closely with United, I'm finding myself code-shared onto United for just about every flight out of my home airport, Lehigh Valley/ABE. The codeshares usually screw up my status and almost always require me to jump through hoops to get my miles credited, and United does not upgrade their partners.

And then there's the fact that most United flights from ABE are connected through ORD. I hate that airport. Actually the airport is cool, but every time I connect (every time!!), there's a delay on one side or the other. Sometimes both.

Anyway, it's not like I fly a lot; I get enough miles to get to silver on my own and then boost it up to Gold with a couple of US Air credit cards. So I really need to choose a single program, and those airlines mentioned above (Delta, Continental, American, and AirTran) are the ones that service ABE (other than USAir and United, of course).

Thanks for any advice!
