Health Declaration Forms
My family (six of us) recently took a quick day trip by land into mainland China from Hong Kong. Including the arrival and departure cards and the health declaration forms on both sides, it was a total of 36 very repetitive forms I had to complete within three hours.
I'm wondering what other jurisdictions are still requiring these health declaration forms upon arrival. It seems like an overreaction due to a previous failure (SARS). Some of us (seemingly at random) also had our temperatures checked by someone from the health departments in both China and HKSAR. Is the H1N1 media hype not over yet?

When crossing from HK-Shenzhen last month, you still had to fill out the health form, and they only took the temperatures of foreign passport holders, because apparently, Chinese won't carry H1N1, only foreigners.

It was actually yesterday that we crossed into Shenzhen. We were bundled into a van and the health department employees on both sides simply took the temperatures of those who were easily in reach without regard to nationality.
