Bring on the 787...now!
From United Twitter:
UnitedAirlines
Congratulations to Boeing on the successful first test flight of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner!
My input:
It was cool to be able to watch the first takeoff and landing online. The 787 looks like one hell of a plane. It cannot get approved and into United's hands fast enough.

Amen to that.
The wing flex on that thing is absolutely amazing. Too bad I missed the landing though, due to work.

The wing flex is significant. There is a discernible arc or curve as a load is put on it. Of course, this is as observed online on a small screen so it could have been an illusion.
The landing was nailed. Great work by the crew. Flight was shortened two hours due to weather. Flight lasted just over three hours. Next flight in about a weeks time.

Spent most of the day watching the webcast and it was a beautiful sight. I love this new plane, especially now that I will get to fly it on United at some point.
