New Premium Membership

I just noticed today that FlightMemory is now offering a premium membership for $35/year.

Benefits include:
-more statistics (map zoom capability, additional stats, top twenty entries...)
-ability to create roundtrips and copy flights (a big plus for me)
-no ads
-and more

Just curious if any FTers are going to pay for the premium membership? I'm still undecided.

I just paid. Not exactly because I felt the extra feature is worth $35, but I just want to support them anyways.

Anyways, I'm ranked about 510th among ~29,000 users, for total flight miles.

Neat! I didn't realized it included rankings against other users. I might have to pay just to see where I stand!

Still no one with an idea on how to obtain registrations of international flights?

Awesome. I love it. Wish I would have found it earlier when I had more info on some of my older flights. (or still had a memory left)

^^^

Safe travels.

I saw all the new statistics and felt like I did when climbing the rope in gym class.

I'm definitely in. ^

I activated my premium account last night and it is awesome! You get flight data by mileage, not just # of flights. They have also enabled the PDF feature on the English site. There is a place to compare your stats against other FM users. (Top 1%, thank you very much:cool:) The world map now has a zoom feature, and I would like to see the US have a zoom as well. Maybe have 5-6 regions of the US. I am doubly giddy about this. $35 is a bargain. ^

I've only now discovered this and entered data for a few flights. It's going to take a while, and the statistics should be interesting in the end...

BUT...don't at least some of you find the flight time (not counting hours in layovers!) in hours, days, months, and years just a little depressing? Really makes you realize how much of your life is being spent in airplanes. :( On the other, I suppose it provides further justification for upgrading. ;):(

A little. I've spent two months of my life on an airplane. :(

I've been averaging 2.5 hrs/day on airplanes for the last few years, but it feels like much much more.

Since most of my flying is domestic, it would be nice to see the rankings domestically and internationally (as separate categories). I can't compete with some of you guys flying internationally. :o

I am registered on this site as a premium member and enjoy the functionality. I rank number 74 for total flights only because I've kept accurate records ever since I started flying in 1971, and was therefore able to enter over 35 years of data.

Very impressive. ^ When I was doing my flights, I had to go off of memory before 2000, but remembered my flight in 1969 to my grandparents' house SAN-OAK on PSA. :p I flew alone at 4 years old. (My mom knew the pilot, so I was well taken care of. ;))
