Hotel mapping tool
Hi all,
I wanted to share a tool I have been working on for the past few months: www.awardomatic.com.
It's still in work, and I have more hotels to add and some kinks to work out, but it's getting pretty close. It's inspired by Awardmapper. I've been using Awardmapper for a while, but I found myself having to use other maps in conjunction with it. I wanted to create one resource that could show me all the information I needed.
The biggest benefit to Awardomatic is filtering. You can filter hotels to your heart's content. Want to see a map of all Tier 3 Ritz Carlton hotels? Category 4 Westin hotels? You can do any of that. A very small amount of the data is categorized incorrectly, but it's being worked on. Over 99% of the 16,000 hotels I've got on there are categorized correctly.
Like I was saying, there's still some work to do. I have more hotels I want to add, some are missing from some of the brands. I need to re-scrub locations, because a small percentage of them are off. But I wanted to show what I've got to people that might actually use it. Would this tool be useful to you? Are there other needed features that would help you find an award hotel? Anything else you would like to see implemented?
Thanks!
