Trip Planner
Please feel free to move this thread to travel technology if better suited
I have been looking for an automatic trip/itinerary planner
I have found three: none of which are satisfactory!
plnnr: seems great but does not let me change my hotel so all itineraries start from different hotel! (completely useless) I've tried to contact them but no feedback yet
triptern
let's you create an itinerary from the hotel of your choice but then gives limited attractions.I am organizing my trip to NYC with my 7 yr old ... so TOY R US is an extremely important attraction on my itinerary!
tripomatic: gives you the possibility of adding your own hotel and attractions but doesn't actually make an itinerary!! The whole point of the site is to give you the best route in your time frame!
Does anybody know about a good trip/itinerary planner???
anxious for feedback!
Bye

Not sure if it's exactly what you want but tripit is easy and free (there is a pay edition with more options). It uploads bookings from your emails or you can manually input/adjust itineraries. Flights, buses, trains, hotels, activities. Has a web and app portal so easy to do use and travel with.

I'd like something that would automatically adjust my itinerary: save me a lot of time to understanding what to do and when
I just tried goplanit, but I don't know if I'm having internet connection problems and not managing to go beyond selecting the city!
I've reposted in the travel buzz forum, I hope someone can help me out!
I want the app/site to automatically build my itinerary, if I have to do manually, there's no point in using the site!
THanks for your help

The thing is that I have to manually decide what to add to my trip: what I'm looking for should give me a list of attractions, restaurants, activities to do and then group them together each day, making transportation and time management much easier.

No, absolutely I have a very detailed plan of what I want to see! I needed the legwork taken out!
Plnnr did this but does not let me change my hotel so all itineraries start from different hotel! (completely useless)
triptern: let's you create an itinerary from the hotel of your choice but only gives a few hotels and no shopping or restaurants
I need an app/site in which I add the attractions I wish to see. It groups them up in areas and appoints a day.

Update Triptern is currently the winner! I guess they updated it and it now let's you plan your entire trip giving routes, estimated times and dividing them by days. I contacted them and they say that in 2-3 days it will be possible to print the itinerary and shopping will soon be available. I'll let you know if everything turns out
thanks for the help
