Different DVD sizes?
My daughter was at a church rummage sale, and she picked up a personal DVD player. The batteries were still good and it was only a buck, so well worth a chance.
Anyhow, when she gets home, she flops in a DVD ... and it's too big. It hangs over the rim and the clamshell closing latch, and all told it looks like it's about a quarter inch or so to big.
I tried other DVD's and a CD and they are all the same size ... too big.
The player is made by Hasbro, so I'm thinking maybe it was sold as a game thing with proprietary discs. Anyone know anything about this?

Is this a VideoNow PVD player? If so, it's actually more of a VCD player. The discs are CDs and use a proprietary video format. The retail discs are mostly Nickelodeon and Disney Channel shows.
There's a little info about it here and tech info here.
