I'm legacy. I admit it. I am running a Buffalo High Power a/b/g wireless router.

I have a slingbox connected to a Tivo downstairs. I don't have a way to run a wired connection there. The Tivo is connected to the wireless network via the usb wireless Tivo adaptor.

I'd like to be able to start using the slingbox again, but I need a wireless gaming adaptor or wireless bridge.

Everything that I see is older "DLINK DWL G820" or Linksys old WET11s.

What should I do? The powerline stuff isnt' working. I think my upstairs downstairs circuits may not be connected.

1) Can someone recommend a G compatible wireless bridge / gaming adaptor?

2) If I have to go N, then can someone recommend a 5 Ghz N router that I can just put side by side with the current Buffalo and then the corresponding 5Ghz compatible wireless bridge / gaming adaptor.

I have 2 Buffalo routers running DD-WRT. I use the WDS feature to bridge them. I have a PC plugged into the second router and my Squeezebox hooks to it wirelessly. It's been working well for a couple of years.

Ok Im a month behind the times.

Apparently Buffalo is BACK IN THE WIRELESS MARKET in the USA.

As such they have a WLI-TX4-AG300N which should work perfectly and I get to stay within the Broadcom chip family.

Scott: They should have a N version of the high power router now too...Woohoo!
