Question iPhone Nano - is it GO?

News about an impending iPhone nano is intriguing.
There are quite a few reports, lending it leading rumour status for the moment, fuelled by the leak of an accessory cover.

Based on the rumour stories, would you predict it will be available soon?
Is it on your wish list?

Would be a nice match for my netbook eee pc.
[Sure, it may be as likely as a nano Macbook - iPhone neino! Anyway it's fun to hope for one...]

Thanks for your feedback. ^

I fail to see what market that would be targeting. It's not like the iPhone is too large...and the size of the iPhone screen is a selling point, IMO. Lower price? Apple is already selling iPhones at a reduced price.

Don't see this happening.

Speaking against a possible iphone nano introduction is this:
They would have to keep the resolution intact leading to a higher DPI and lowered readability. Otherwise they would give up the huge advantage the appstore has given them.

An iPhone nano with a dumbed down browser, application support, poor gaming performance, smaller screen... It doesn't sound like a likely path, but when it comes to AAPL, one should never say never.

It was a fun rumour for a few seconds, until reading the details.

A very easy job to create some fake pics in Photoshop, then let the gossip spread like butter on a hot knife.

Tonight would be a great night for an iPhone shuffle.

Especially with an unlimited text plan.

It is crazy how many websites, blogs, etc., are adding fuel to the rumor.
