Lightbulb Spot Device

Spot Device

Saw this product at my local Costco #63 in ANC... thought it was kinda cool and wondered what other FTers thought- there was a mention of it in a thread a while ago about satellite phones, but it is a cool new product- so anyone try it yet? ...from the air

I've done lots of backcountry treks before... seems like it could be a useful product for emergency situations... what else can we do on it... a way perhaps to enable FT mobile

Thanks for all the opinions on it - I personally probably won't get one... but hope it helps someone out-

Cheers!

I have one. It works, but not always. It has pretty weak GPS reception, and will really only work with a 100% clear view of the sky.

I bought one, (I know I commented in that earlier thread - there is a lot of detail there) and only use it while in remote locations. But, since I haven't been out of the country in the past 10 months, it hasn't gotten much use.
