Webcam for MacBook Pro
Does anyone have a recommendation for a decent webcam so that when I use my MacBook Pro in clam shell mode connected to my external monitor I can still video chat in iChat. Price is primarily my main concern as the image quality transferred over video chat is still much worse that what even a fairly old cheap camera can capture. I read somewhere that now any UVC camera will work though I have no clue what that means as no one lists that as a spec that I have seen. Also I read that if it has a Vista capable sticker it is UVC capable though I know what a disaster the vista stickers were so I am hesitant to buy without a recommendation.
TIA

In theory a UVC webcam should work fine on 10.4.9 (e.g. later builds of Tiger)
If you have Leopard (10.5) they should work OK.
I've had NO issues with the Logitech ones and the Buffalo ones when we've used external USB cameras on our macs at shows
See this Apple discussion thread if you have an older version of Mac OS X (got some good info if you are on newer Mac OS X builds also)

You cannot use a UVC camera for iMovie (today) recording though... Just for Skype, iChat and similar conference apps.
