Expedia and Firefox

I use Firefox - currently on V 2.0.0.18 on the desktop and 2.0.0.17 on the laptop.

I sometimes use Expedia - expedia.co.uk, that is.

Before yesterday I never had a problem.

Since yesterday whenever I've tried to do anything on the Expedia web site (other than just look) it has caused Firefox to crash.

It's happening on both machines (I initially thought it had to do with the upgrade to 2.0.0.18, but the other machine is doing it as well).

I have not made any other changes to either machine.

Is anyone else having problems?

I just gave it a try and it worked, though I am also on FF3.

I'm not on FF3 - there were reasons for not installing it when it came out, those reasons have gone but I've been too busy to mess around.

Strangely 2.0.0.17 (on the laptop) now works OK - it started working after I disabled and then re-enabled an add-on which is totally unrelated but which seems to have played havoc with Expedia.

Tried the same on 2.0.0.18 but it didn't cure the problem. I can log into Expedia, I can get as far as asking it to find me hotels in a specific town on a specific date... but when I try to do anything with the information (book, or even just click the "find hotel on a map" link) the whole thing just comes to a grinding halt.

I'd get the upgrade to FF v3.0.4. There might be vulnerability/security issues as to why the newer version.

And the only consequence of upgrading, for me at least, is the 'Tab Effect" add-on hasn't been updated.

Highly recommend upgrading.
