Firefox doesn't connect to the internet

I'm experiencing an odd problem with my main mac machine.

Firefox refuses to acknowledge my live connection to the internet. Safari is working fine (I'm typing this in Safari), but Firefox insists that it's offline.

Any ideas as to how I can fix this?

Is there an option in one of the drop-down menus to work online or offline? It's under the "File" menu on the Windows version.

If that doesnt work, you can try trashing the preference file. Close firefox. Go to your home folder:libraryreferences and drag org.mozilla.firefox.plist to the desktop. Launch firefox and see if that resolves it.

Duh. That's what it was. Thank you both.
