Where to buy a Nintendo Wii?
Any suggestions on where to buy a Wii? I ran all over town yesterday looking for one and everyone was sold out. I tried all the obvious spots like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc.

My local Target had 5 of them sitting on the shelf yesterday afternoon. I was tempted to pick a couple up for a quick turn on eBay, but decided it wasn't worth the hassle.
No Wii Fit balance boards, though . . .

The wireless text message alerts on that site enabled me to order one at Amazon during one of the 10-minute windows that the company had them in stock.
I have also seen them on the shelves at two different Target stores lately, which was a first.

I used wiitracker.com to make a fortune off buying and reselling them to unfortunate people who desperately needed one for Christmas.
Uh, I mean, I used Wiitracker to get myself one.
The best time for retail is Sunday morning, most Bestbuys around me will have a ticket system and around 100 units in each store. Like Riverwalk said; they have been slowly popping up on shelves a little more lately, but now Wiifit is out, I don't think that'll last.

No reason to pay extra like some folks on ebay are asking. I bought mine on Amazon. I set up alerts to my mobile via wiialerts.com. it will alert you and let you know if it's a package or just the default for $249. Luckily for me, when I got the alert I was at a computer, so I logged on to Amazon and bought it right away. The first couple of alerts, I was not at a PC, and it was gone before I got a chance to get to one or to try from my mobile. Took a total of about 5 weeks since I set the alerts till I was able to snatch one. This was around Christmas last year. before I tried the wiialerts route, just like you, I went to so many stores and they were all out.
