Throwable microphone?

We've all seen those wireless mikes that are painfully run back-and-forth during meetings. Has anyone seen a ball-shaped throwable wireless mike?

I've done some searching and come up empty. Seems like just the thing for some crowds.

I know they make cameras like that, spy shops have them, but don't know if they have audio or not on them .

I've held, set up and assembled plenty of mics over the years. I'd figure that the mass of the wireless mic transmitter would make a ball into such a heavy projectile that it would be dangerous to throw it!

I've been to some meetings where that would be a good thing.

I've been to meetings where the absence of a microphone would be a good thing...

Most meetings tend to fall into that category.

There was a very cool looking battery powered webcam ball design that some guy spec'd out and said he's make if enough people pre-ordered. It had a mic and camera and you literally throw it around. This was a couple of years back. I'm sure I bookmarked it but can't find it .

Did anybody else get the ad at the bottom of the page for a "Boundary Wireles Microphone?"

Considering how expensive a half decent wireless microphone can be, I'm not sure it would be something I would toss around!

You can probably hide this transmitter easily inside a foam ball, with a lav mic flush to the surface. Just make sure it's a soft foam ball (kinda like a nerf ball), as the pricetag on this transmitter is rather spendy at around $2K!!
