Of course when there is a problem, companies will try to fix it, or kill the product off. It's all theoretical until they actually ship. For all I know, the Nvidia GPUs might suck down more power causing more heat issues.

I'm able to run at the same clock speed, but at the lowest voltage without any problems on a 1.6ghz MBA.

"It should work without this" is my thought... Given my case will not stay together anymore (seemingly because of how often it has been apart), I am just waiting a bit to get a new one, which will hopefully be the new video chipset.
