Firefox down

Curious events here in Brisbane - IE works fine, plenty of speed on my DSLAM connection, and Firefox can't establish a connection on any of 3 machines around me...

DSL? Telstra? Do they use a proxy server or could they have just started? It's possible MSIE is configured to 'autoconfigure' for proxy and Firefox isn't. That's the only thing I can think of... or... do you use software to connect to DSL? If so, check the MSIE proxy settings. It's possible they were updated but that didn't carry over to Firefox.
