In case it helps your search, my 2003 Sony CLIE PEG-TG50 (Palm 5) has such a program.

(OT: There have been times in a bar or restaurant in which I was sorely tempted to use this feature, especially when one program went off the air and an infomercial followed, and the staff just left it on the same channel.)

I have Remote Control for Pocket PC Phone Edition.

Its made by Agilent Technologies Singapore.

It came with my Samsung I730

It has the standard codes for Sony, Philips, Samsung, and Panasonic.

I have used it many times in bars.

As far as I know, there are no FREE TV remote programs for the Palm OS. The two popular ones are Novii Remote and Omniremote. Neither are free. Omniremote looks like it hasn't been updated for a long time. Even NoviiRemote looks like there's hardly much new development either. They're fun to have but most times, you may likely need to create your own customized code since their codebase (as big as they can be) may not work on all products.

Have you tried any of the paid ones on a trial basis? You might want to try first, as I am a former Palm user and heard that Palm's IR is very low power and does not work well as a remote except at pretty close range.

Thanks to all for you replies. I wasnt aware you had a trial version of the paid programs, I will check those out.

To those that have decidated programs on different PDA's, does someone know if these programs will work on a Palm TX? I guess these programs are available for download at the respective manufacturer websites?

Thanks.

Do you have a link to where I could download this?

NoviiRemote. OmniRemote.

If it says it's for Pocket PC, it won't work for your Palm TX.
