Bose Plug adapter
My wife has a pair of the QC3 headphones.
I have the QC2...about 1 year old.
The QC3s came with at dual plug adapter that can be used on UA (and others) to get much better audio from the dual output jack.
Bose does not list these anywhere I can find as a separate item to purchase.
Is there a source for this adapter...or is there another one available.
I did do a search on this and came up nada.

Check your box. I have the QC2 and mine came with the stereo adapter you are describing. With that said, I believe that they are pretty comon and you could pick one up a radio shack if you wanted.

My first Bose were QC1s about 4 or 5 years ago. After that, I bought QC2s which were replaced twice, and then a second set of QC2s (by trading in the QC1s) for my wife. Every single set of phones came with, among other things, the double pronged adapter plug. If you're not in a hurry, call Bose and tell them you didn't get one. Or you can pick one up in Radio Shack for a couple of bucks.

UPDATE:
I checked my box and the adapter was not there.
However...I did check the packing information and it should have been.
I called Bose and they are sending me one right away.

The airlines that use it put the left channel on one plug and the right channel on the other. The "ring" (old telephone talk for the part of the plug that's behind the "tip") is used as a separate ground.

Are they sending you just the one adapter? Do you have the other parts that you should have received?
I purchased my Bose QC2 headphones about a 2 years ago. I typically only carry the one cord that I need for my iPod, and a few rechargeable batteries.
I put the spare parts in a plastic bag, and threw them in a drawer. My 'Bose Stuff' baggie has 3 adapters (1 gold-tone double prong, 1 silver-tone double prong, 1 gold-tone single prong, and what seems to be an extension cable).
