"iTrip Auto" - does it work in Italy?
I just eBay'd an iTrip Auto for a new 30GB 5th Gen ipod. Does anyone know if it works in Italy? i.e: are the radio stations compatible?
On that note, are they legal there?!?
Thanks in advance.

it will definitely work, don't know about legality
Even though I'm in the US, I actually have the radio (a Becker CDR-220) in my car set to European frequencies, so that I can have my iTrip received on 87.5, which is an unused frequency in North America. So your iTrip will definitely work with Italian and other European stereos.
Whether or not its legal in Italy, I have no idea, but my non-lawyer's opinion would be that first, no one would ever know, and second it's ITALY, for god's sake. They're normally a lot looser about strict interpretation of the law than more northern countries (i.e. Germany).
