Bluetooth stereo headsets?

Well, I finally got a bluetooth cell phone that can do A2DP stereo, and my laptop has bluetooth and I would like to get a headset that would work well with my phone and also be good for Skype and music with the laptop, and perhaps work with some other devices. High quality audio is a primary requirement. Portability would be nice but is secondary to audio quality.

I'd also be interested in any suggestions for a fairly small, portable bluetooth headset with good sound quality (on both ends) primarily for use with the mobile phone.

TIA

I might get the Motorola HS820, which is supposed to be stereo bluetooth, (and a handsfree to boot).

Would like to get confirmation that it works with my Dell D600 (with optional built-in BT chip), but even if phone only, very cool. But would prefer phone and computer in one.

There is also the Plantronics 590A that does stereo and can switch between two sources.

The Plantronics 590A sounds pretty nice and seems like what I am looking for. My main concern about it is that it has been out for a while now (over a year, I think) and thus might be about to be replaced by a newer model.

That is a concern with about all electronic items. Get the best you can afford and keep it as long as possible. It's all out-of-date the minute you buy it.

For something more portable you might want to consider the i.Tech S38, which is what I use.

That looks pretty interesting as well. How's the audio quality?

I'm no audiophile so I cannot tell you. For me it's fine for mp3 listening.

A new Bluetooth earbud solution is the new Etymtoic 8:

They're rather odd looking, but Etymotic's earbuds are great if you can stand to wear in-ear devices. This won't work for a phone (no mic), which is what the OP was asking about, but these are a rare stereo Bluetooth device so I thought this might be worth mentioning here.

Ok, help me out here. Can these be used in-flight? Or does that violate the "disable all wireless features" edict?

Although many airlines have a don't ask, don't tell policy. Just remember to always follow crew-member instructions.
