Google Maps for TREO(finally)

In case you missed the announcement...

"Take the power of Google Maps with you on your Treo."

Cruising around looking for a nearby coffee shop? Driving to that new restaurant but can't remember which street to turn right on? Now you can get business locations, maps and directions while you're on the go. And it's all free.

Real-time traffic See where the congestion is, and estimate delays in over 30 major US metropolitan areas.

more, for us lost folks

I just got this about an hour ago for my 700. Definately cool. Its as fast as it is on my computer and works great so far. A nice tool. Or a waste of work time like the real version. Good stuff.

The first "wow, that's cool" app I've downloaded in a while.

I think I burned half of my battery flying around in satellite view. "Look, my in-laws were visiting..."

Works great on a 650 with Sprint. I think I'm going to need a bigger SD card at this rate however.

Anyone with TMO try it. According to google, both TMO and Verizon not supported?

I just downloaded it onto my Verizon Treo 650 and it seems to work fine. Very cool app. ^

I realize this is a Treo thread, but I can also verify that it works fine on my Verizon BlackBerry 8703e.

I've found it to be fairly accurate for the DC area.
