Mexico sim card
I just got back from Mexico and thought that it would be appropriate to update some people on how easy it is to get a Mexican SIM card.
I am fluent in Spanish so this did go a little bit easier. The only thing I had to do was take a cab to the central market remove the Sim card from my unlocked razor phone. I then spent $10 cash and got a new Sim card with a new telephone number the person at the counter activated it for me.I then had a new telephone number in Mexico and was able to make telephone calls. Very easily and cheaply. We actually used it about three hours later when we'd gotten lost in downtown of Cancn and call the hotel and asked them to direct us to the restaurant that they were sending us to. Also you only go through about five pesos a minute which I think is about $.30 or less, however any callback to United States was still like a dollar a minute.
