Detailed content in movies is lost, of course, on a 2.5 inch display. However, it is surprizingly clear. I find that programs like The Daily Show or sitcoms are best... it is the dialog not the cinematic subtleties.
One word of advice. Make sure that you ALWAYS keep your Vision M in a soft bag when you are not watching. The screen is hard plastic but can always scratch. Treat the screen like a lens.

Some more updates as I am getting used to the player
^ Outstanding battery life. I was able to watch 10 episodes of friends (22 min each) and still have plenty of charge left over.
^ Doesn't scratch too easily. The Cnet review says that the black player scratches, but my black one has remained un scratched
^ FM tuner is good (though not outstanding quality)
^ Records audio as well as the Belkin one did, attatched to the iPod.
the playlists (and main music list) seem to self-organize themselves.
I can't figure out how to stop it.
No "smart playlists" like in the iPod.
If you want to shuffle something, you have to go all the way back to the main menu and then click "shuffle all" It is aggravating
Cheers

I have another big negative about this player.
THE FREAKING THING DIED ON ME
And after only two weeks. The customer support people at Creative are going to get an earful
