Windows XP password reset after lockout
Ok. So I had few too many last night and could not type correctly
and I managed to lock my self out of my laptop - Windows XP Pro. I guess my corporate folks have some way to get me in but they claim they can't do it over the phone. Any way to resent this sucker? (I am obviously using a spare POS).
auh2o - hey it is Memorial Day weekend!

Did it say your account is locked out or are you saying you changed the password and forgot it? If the former it will automatically unlock. The latter your corp IT people likely know the local admin password. Running a pw cracker CD on their accounts is a good way to piss them off if they're anything like me.
