Office Depot now carries Thinkpads. Maybe they carry the Trackpoint caps. Otherwise, do a google search on "trackpoint caps".

Let me make sure I understand. You know where to get them, but don't want to pay $4.95 shipping for them? I really don't mean to offend, but isn't that just a tad cheap?

Anyhow, here you go:

http://cgi.ebay.com/IBM-ThinkPad-Tra...QQcmdZViewItem

$2.50 per cap and $1.31 shipping.

I understand where you are coming from. Shipping charges are my nr.1 source of aggravation when it comes to online shopping. When I see $0.99 products on ebay with $10 shipping I just know it is a scam I need to skip.

Thankfully there are still some honest sellers left on Ebay though...

Agree.

Or sellers who won't ship at all to Hawaii. Grrrr. One of the reasons that Amazon does get more of my business these days; no no-ship policies on books anyway or ridiculous shipping costs.

Or the sellers who ship by USPS Priority Mail but who won't ship to Hawaii. Why? It's the same price.

OK. Sorry. Back OT....

You can get a set of six (two of each kind) directly from Lenovo for $9.99+tax and free shipping.

Theft is usually the cheapest solution.

I note that Toshibas seem to come with an extra one.

I wonder if they are all the same?

I've got some 50-60 of those forgotten in a drawer in our server room. They come in packets of two, the rough cat's tongue and the wide one with raised dots. I could let go a few in exchange for miles

That was always a pet peeve of mine when I lived in Hawaii. I found it to be the worst when the merchant had an exclusive contract with UPS - which, at least at the time, did not offer "ground" shipping to Hawaii from the mainland, just the reverse. They'd always bump me up to 2nd day air for an exorbitant cost.

Now that UPS offers "ground" from the mainland to Hawaii, I'd hope things have changed a bit for the better. But it's not my problem any more . . .

I ended up ordering some caps from Lenovo, and the free shipping ended up being a better bargain than I expected. Even though the order said "UPS Ground", they shipped it UPS air directly from China:
