Help with Targus power cord

Could use some help with my Targus AC/DC70u power cord. I have successfully used it on long flights (9+ hours) to power my Dell D600, but during the last couple of flights on AA MD80s when I plug in the power cord to the in seat power outlet the blue light on the adapter lights up and then fades out and my Dell doesn't get any power.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
redskinjoe

I've lost track of how many times Targus has replaced some part of mine. Sometimes they replace the "brick," other times it's the cord from the brick to the PC. Last time, they sent me an entire new unit. If it weren't so dang handy (I buy the IGo adaptor and tips for cell phone and PDA power), I would have dumped it awhile ago

Does it work in AC mode?

Best bet is to call or go to website and see what they'll do.
