Google Calendar

http://calendar.google.com

Looks promising.

Will eventually sync with Outlook, etc. Plus, it'll send reminders to your Gmail account.

I especially like the Quick Add feature. Type something like Dinner with the boss Friday at 7 p.m. and Google will add it to the calendar.

So far it looks pretty good. It doesn't look like you can create a public calendar that others can add events to unless you expressly give them permission. I'm thinking something like creating a calendar for tagalongs for the TLV El Al King David Lounge. If you have to expressly give everyone permission to post it woul be less than useful.

I was wondering if anyone/any company puts out email confirmations that you can download into Outlook with one click, other than Avis.

Thanks,

Not exactly a travel company, but if you ever make restaurant reservations through opentable.com, you can export to Outlook from there. It includes all the information you need, very helpful especially when traveling to a city in which you don't live.

Thanks,
Travelocity based reservations can be imported. Also Hilton reservations can be retrieved as vcards which can easily be imported into Outlook.

I really wish Apple would bag Safari and bundle Firefox with their hardware. A divided opposition to IE isnt good and Firefox is the realistic competitor. Apple should boost it rather tha detract from it.
