To bad bootcamp is only for intel based macs.

To bad my 1.67 ghz powerbook can't take advantage of bootcamp. I was looking forward to downloading the kvs tool to my mac. The emulation software such as virtual pc are too slow and too dificult to deal with.

It works on PPC based notebooks also. There's a $1999 one time fee.

Unfortunately, that will never change. Since the chip architecture is different, it's like trying to run a ford explorer on biodiesel, not possible without major manifications.

Well you could always run NT, since there were PPC versions of it (though they were compiled on 601 and 603s, so not sure how they work on the new 64-bit chips).

But as others have noted, XP requires an Intel-compatible CPU.

Am I missing something-does AMD now not work on XP? [note: no sarcasm intended-I'm actually asking]

I think he meant to say Intel-compatible which AMD chips most certainly are.

Yup, though perhaps MS and Intel will sign a deal like Intel and SkyPe did.
