Which Torch / Flashlight For Home?
I've been put in charge of a very important task by my other half - to buy a torch for the home/car after Old Faithful recently died on us. Being the TechHead that I am, I'm going to buy the best damn torch I can find for the budget I have
I suggested either a wind up or shake-to-operate torch, and that was poo-pood. I'm looking for a handheld torch, preferably battery operated, and preferably either AA, C, or D battery operated. I'm not wanting a big 6v monstrocity.
If I can buy online that would be a bonus, and my budget is around $20US [incl shipping to Australia].
I have looked online already and am impressed with the Energizer Double Barrel Aluminum Flashlights but can only find that available online from BatteriesAndButter who for some reason want a scanned copy of my drivers licence which I am inclined not to supply
So tell me, which torch should I buy?

Check Ebay Australia for a decent 1Watt Luxeon flashlight. Luxeon makes LED's that are brighter than any bulb in that wattage.
This URL should yield some results:

Very thorough review website with many good recommendations whether you are looking for a incandescent or LED.
Also a wealth of information at Candle Power Forum
