ThinkPad hibernation/wake-up problem
Suddenly my IBM ThinkPad R 51 is displaying a wierd behavior.
When I close the lid, it is supposed to hibernate. It doesn't. Now when I open the lid, it goes into hibernation.
It has been so long that I have forgotten where one checks and changes these settings. Any help out there?
Thanks in advance!

This happens to my HP laptop, kinda.
I close my laptop, and it goes to standby. When I open the lid, all that appears on the screen is a blinking cursor. I'll hit the little switch that tells the laptop the cover is closed a few times, but it'll rarely fire up the login screen. I have to do a hard power off.
I think it's time for a new laptop.
