Net Gear Software causing PC to crash?
I have a netgear WG311 v2 PCI installed in a PC. Well when I installed the software after a major system crash. The system fails and reboots everytime the netgear software boots up. Even if I go to safe mode with networking right when I boot up the wireless internet software the system restarts. Any ideas? The card functions fine. I am on an XP system.
Thanks

Did you have another wifi card before? Often wifi drivers from different vendors cause problems. Go to device manager and remove them all, then reinstall the Netgear software.

Remove all the drivers and see if XP can find it and run it without the netgaear drivers.
I had an SMC that did the same thing, when I let Windows manage it all was fine.
