Questionmarket.com

I am sure that I am not the only one who sees "floating ads," for lack of a better term, from sites like Questionmarket.com.

I have pretty much eliminated pop ups with software and edited my hosts file to stop some other ads, but how do you get rid of these floating ads that force you to either click "close" or have them cover up whatever you are trying to read? Thankfully, they do not appear on FT but I do see them on several other sites (I think Businessweek is one of them, but I cannot remember right now).

And while I am asking, what about when wesbites force you into an ad before taking you to the link on which you clicked? I see that on USAToday.com and also CNET.com as well as NYTimes.com

Thoughts?

Thanks.
