Which type of Vid Camera to buy?
Hello my FT Friends!
I am in the market to buy a new video camera and I need advice.
What I am looking for is a camera that I would be able to edit the footage on my home computer and then burn it to DVD.
I have a pretty good home PC with about 200G of HD space( 120g and 80g B/U drive). I'm just curious what type of video card inputs I would need as well as the camera and its outputs?
I've seen some cameras that record right to dvd (or cd?).
Would that be easier since I could just put the dvd (or cd) into my PC and copy the footage to storage and edit from there?
I welcome any advice and since this is FT I know I will get good advice.
Thanks
Tom

A (semi)recent thread with a good discussion on your questions is this one:
