My 7100t seems to be working properly since the upgrade.
Mails I send to g-mail (forwarded to my blackberry), yahoo (new push), and directly to my blackberry are all coming across quickly. I can delete messages on both the handled and yahoo in via reconcile. It seems as if I can "surf" much faster now. I was running v 3.8 something before and accessing the web was basically worhtless. Now, If I could only get off outlook all together. But it appears I need to use it to maintain my calendar and contacts as the berry will not sync with much else. Cheers, Scho |
Of course I'm also poping my work "pop3" address and so long as the mail has not been downloaded from the server it reconciles as well.
It was my understanding that the service only reconciled one account but it is currently reconcilling both yahoo and work pop3 without needing to change any settings. Scho |
My Yahoo account reconciles fine. My Gmail account doesnt reconcile at all, and takes a long time to deliver. Anyone else experiencing problems with Gmail?

We apologize, you do not have access to the My E-mail service. Please use the e-mail solution provided with your wireless handheld. I'm lost. And I'd like not to be lost since now I am again getting all the stuff that I had carefully set up the spam filters to exclude |
Update: It also doesn't appear that mail sent from my Blackberry actually gets sent. It doesn't seem to arrive in the recipient's email anyway. :(
Help! |

Help! You possibly need to log in and have the service books sent. Can you log in at www.t-mobile.com/bis/ ? That will give you a place to click that will take you to a login that might work. It says "Log in to My T-Mobile and set up Blackberry Internet E-Mail" |

Well, I'll eat 1/2 a dish of crow.....
Turns out that the reason I couldn't set up email was that the little phone icon in the upper right hand corner of the page showed some random phone as "my" phone -- and that phone was not data enabled so apparently I couldn't add email set up because the web thinks that I didn't have a blackberry device. Otoh, on the left side of the page it says that my service plan is "Blackberry Unlimited Data" or somesuch. You would think that their database would be smart enough to know that if I had a Blackberry plan, I had a Blackberry device. So, partly my bad, but partly their odd website and database lookups. A related question: I wanted to try to see if I could add T-mobile Hotspot for a month at the discounted $19.95 (which the main T-mobile hotspot page says can be done for current gprs subscribers). But when I try to do so, I get a response telling me that T-mobile Wifi is not available for my device. If I change my phone to a wifi enable device and try again, I get a message that my Blackberry plan doesn't allow this add-on. Argh. So, question for your longtime T-mobilers: a) For current customers (even Blackberry ones) can you add Hotspot a month at a time (and then cancel it when you're done needing it for awhile -- unlike the annual commitment plan), b) if so, does this apply to T-mobile Blackberry data only customers? |

You can even add a hotspot for a day and then remove it. You'll only get charged for that one day :D
