My latest favorite Firefox extension is Roboform. It fills in web forms for you, using data that you supply and password-protect on your machine. Before you install the extension, you have to DL and install the free Roboform application. Makes filling out all those forms painless.

That is a great enhancement to an already wonderful browser. I almost want to return to the US just so that I can text myself.

hmmm couple of questions:
what is the firefox extension that will allow me to just save an page for later offline viewing?
assuming it is a friends image gallery and i have it now local to my computer is there another extension that can extract the images either by link depth or by file extension?
I am running the 1.5 beta. do i need to go back to the latest official build or do extensions generally work with beta?

I turned off the auto-conversion to links, and just use double click on a text url to open in a new or same tab/window, or you can select the text link and use the context menu. Lots of different options and ways to use it.

this is certainly a YMMV, but i LOVE this toolbar modification:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4072
if you are like me and visit the same sites regularly, you rely on your bookmarks toolbar to serve as your primary navigator. on my last computer i had multiple rows of buttons, but i am trying to limit myself to one row on my new(er) computer.
to save space and fit as many buttons as possible on a single row, i have abbreviations that are of little help (FT for FlyerTalk). of course i know it's FlyerTalk b/c i recognize the icon.
despite my efforts i finally threw in the towel and decided to go back to 2 (or eventually 3) rows of favorites. while looking for the addon, i found the smart bookmarks bar, and now i can easily fit 2-3 rows of buttons on 1 row. i have also expanded my minuscule titles to give a much better description (on rollover).

It lets you enlarge any textbox, like the reply screen here on FT, just put your mouse in the bottom, and drag to make it larger (or smaller!!!)
Just one more reason why Firefox is the best browser out there.

EDITED TO ADD...
D'oh! Found something that does this (not necessarily the same code) here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3818
