3rd gen. 15GB iPod was full. Now I have a 40GB iRiver H340. 16.2 GB full, 395 albums, 3083 songs.

Another thing... sorry, but this is one of my pet peeves haha

Full is an absolute word... something cant be very full or quite full... the other word that is used with adjectives is : unique

I received a 4GB mini iPod for mother's day from my children. I have about 500 songs, 4 complete unabridged novels, my contacts/address book and complete calendar/datebook. It only took 2.2 GB.

On my Vaio Pocket.....21/40GB used. Since some a lot of my music is 3hr mixes the number of songs is skewed but it is about 1200.

40GB and full on my jukebox - having to delete stuff to make room for new acquisitions. I made the mistake when I first bought it of trying to see how much stuff I could get onto the drive!

How much do you need to cary with you at one time? I'm beginning to think a 1gb shuffle would enough. That's about a week's worth of music and it would be highly unusual for me to be away from a computer to reload for a week.
