Don't be discouraged if your order status still says "preparing shipment". Nearly all of them should be delivered by Friday, regardless. The signals being sent back to update the statuses are running a little slow, due to crazy amount of orders being processed right now. (More of the pipe has to be dedicated to getting the orders shipped, so there's less available to transmit the "thumbs up" that it's shipped.)
Even customers who ordered Tiger on Thursday (before 2 PM Pacific) will be getting theirs on Friday.
It's been a little hectic around the office.

I had problems with using the Upgrade install, fireworks kept freezing, also printing didn't work. I had to reinstall using the Archive option and everything is better now.
I hope to create some of my own desktop widgets.
Spotlight is slower than Quicksilver though more functional. I liked Quicksilver for very quick application launching. With Spotlight I have to search, wait a few seconds, arrow down two times and press enter. With QS I can start typing for example "Word" then hit enter and it will launch MS Word.
I think my battery life has improved. I can tell for sure that my boot times are about 1/2 of what they use to be.
RSS in Safari is really great. As is the RSS screensaver, though I don't usually use a screensaver on my powerbook.
Safari is also much faster.
I like the new mail interface.
I like automator, but don't know what I would use it for yet.

Go beyond startup items and have automator go through and do all of the things you usually do in each of those startup apps that are launched, without you having to do it, such as:
automatically launch Safari
open up several tabs with each of your favorite web sites in it
Track your freq. flyer mile acquisition progress daily in a spreadsheet:
each day at a certain time, launch Safari
go to your freq flyer pages
scrape the current point total from it and paste in a spreadsheet
Have the spreadsheet generate a pretty chart or graph or something,
integrating each day's results as they're acquired
if you really wanted to get fancy, you could dump the info into SQL
and generate a web page with a pretty picture/graph with PHP or something
Hotkey shortcuts of all varieties
Sometimes AppleScript can be a hassle. I'm hoping this is much more ...for lack of a better word... automatic.

Looking forward to running Tiger but it's finals week around here and I can't afford to have any glitches. I'll give it a whirl in a week or so though!
